In a correspondence with Sam Memberg:

 I once saw a presentation from Seth Godin with about 30 slides and only 4-5 words.  It had a big impact on the audience.  Of course, I can't remember a word he said, but loved the pictures.  That led me to ask "what do I want a future reader of my slide deck to know?"
