Letters to a Young Manager

Giving thanks, #372
LTYM >

Please note that this letter is in-process; the following are my notes

Dear Adam,
***
Eric, I've been thinking about your request for sharing my Leadership Principles. I have a number of personal sources to draw upon, but perhaps the most personal is the portion of my daily prayers woven into a morning yoga routine (is this sounding very 60's)? Here is what I pray:
"I give thanks for work and this job; May I serve with dignity and grace, serenity and peace, with positive intent and connecting the big rocks. Bless those who lead, including myself; grant us wisdom, patience, insight, courage, decisiveness and good judgment; With care, compassion, kindness, understanding, vision and good leadership."
I'm not sure this is for publication, but I have a hunch you will understand better than most. Best, Ed

Wonderful Ed!! Certainly seems fit to me! You inspire me to move my prayers past simple pleas for strength and courage!! Your friend, Eric
***
Yours Truly,
Ed
