Phil Cooper's "Reentry Visa" story. There's something I learned from a vice president, from a for profit company that I worked for. Whenever somebody in good standing left the organization for a better position, he always made it a formal presentation of what he called a reentry visa. If at any time you want to return to our organization, here's your reentry visa.

How someone leaves a organization is important. It's a message to not only those moving on, it's one to those staying. It says we are an organization that respects people choices.
