Letters to a Young Manager

The Snowball, #618
LTYM >

Please note that this letter is in-process; the following are my notes

Dear Adam,
***
From the 2/7/24 call with Richard:

We also talked about that analogy of the snowball rolling down the hill, gaining in size and gaining in speed, gaining momentum. And sometimes what the leader does is remove the rocks on the hill so that the ball can continue, the snowball can continue to roll and build momentum. And so removing the block, removing the rocks, the logs that are in the way, is another function of leadership. When you think about what it is that you can do, I mean, obviously you have a good, strong focus on helping to bring in the money, but moving obstacles that are in the way of the team maintaining its momentum is another important function.
***
Sincerely yours,
Ed
