Please note that this letter is in-process; the following are my notes
Dear Adam,
***
During a faculty meeting there was some debate about whether we should negotiate with student who object to there grades. There was some agreement about not negotiating, even to say the final grades, once submitted, are out of our hands. No negotiating is possible!
I raised the question whether we had the right mind-set. Isn't the goal to help students succeed? That is the same question for managers. Yes the goals are to learn and to get results, but also for the people to succeed
***
Sincerely yours,
Ed
