9/7/16: Our uber driver today is Filip, not yet 20. I ask him how long he has been driving for Uber. Since Uber began here in Croatia two months ago, He tells me. I ask about employment prospects for youth. He says it's bad everywhere; either you work for yourself or you leave Croatia. What uber offers youth with a car, few others can. The enterprising on-line banks will figure out small loans for these entrepreneurs, and car dealers will figure out smart leases for fuel efficient cars for prospective Uber drivers.

Uber launched on June 2 in Dubrovnik and Split. We saw the signs and posters at the airport.

Only 10% go to college. Why? Was it cost? No, it's that there is no job at the other end
